Our most complete protection package combines full multi-stage paint correction with a professional-grade ceramic coating on every exterior panel, plus matching ceramic protection for your wheels, glass, and exterior trim. Everything gets the same hydrophobic, UV-resistant layer, not just the body panels, so brake dust, road grime, and fading get covered too.
Ceramic coating is especially useful on Long Island, where winter road salt and de-icing chemicals attack unprotected paint and wheels every season. The coating cures in stages: safe from light rain within about a day, ready for its first wash around a week later, and fully hardened over one to two weeks. Every application happens at our Islip Terrace shop, where we control for dust during the process.
A full vehicle package from us goes on in two coats, not one. The first coat bonds directly to the corrected paint and does the actual work of hardening into a sacrificial layer harder than your factory clear coat. The second coat fills in anything the first coat missed and evens out the gloss across every panel. Going beyond two coats does not buy you more protection, once the surface is fully sealed there is nothing left for a third coat to bond to, so it just sits on top and wipes away during the first wash.
A ceramic coating is not a maintenance-free coating, and we would rather tell you that up front. What it does is buy you time and margin. Instead of swirl marks and etching showing up after a few improper washes, you get years of a surface that sheds water and releases bird droppings and bug splatter before they etch in. The hydrophobic beading you notice in the first few months fades gradually as the coating picks up embedded contamination and fine residue from the environment, not because the ceramic bond itself is failing. A ceramic maintenance spray every couple of months restores that beading effect without touching the actual coating underneath.
Long Island winters are genuinely hard on a coated vehicle, which is part of why we push this package specifically for local drivers. Road salt and calcium chloride de-icers are corrosive to bare metal and aggressive on unprotected clear coat, and they sit on lower panels and wheel wells for weeks between washes. The ceramic layer on your paint, wheels, and glass gives that salt brine a slick surface to sit on instead of a porous one to etch into, and it makes rinsing it off before it has a chance to do damage a five-minute job instead of a full detail.
Full paint correction included before coating, every time, never skipped
Professional-grade ceramic coating on every exterior panel
Matching ceramic protection for wheels, glass, and trim
Extra defense against Long Island's winter road salt and de-icing chemicals
Wheels, glass, and trim get matching protection so the whole car benefits, not just the body panels, including the brake dust and salt exposure wheels take all winter.
Safe from light rain in about 24 hours, ready for its first wash around day 7, and fully cured within 1 to 2 weeks. We'll give you the exact aftercare schedule for your vehicle.
The full package adds matching ceramic protection for your wheels, glass, and exterior trim on top of the paint coating, so brake dust, water spots, and fading are covered too, not just the body panels.
Yes, every package starts with multi-stage paint correction. Coating over swirls and scratches seals them in permanently, so we never skip this step.
Light rain is generally fine after about 24 hours. We recommend waiting about a week before the first wash, and the coating reaches full hardness over 1 to 2 weeks depending on weather.
Yes. Road salt and de-icing chemicals are hard on unprotected paint and wheels every winter. A ceramic coating makes salt and grime easier to rinse off before it has a chance to sit and do damage.
No, and doing so would be counterproductive. A wax or sealant on top of a ceramic coating doesn't bond to it the same way and just wipes off in a wash or two. What you do want every couple of months is a ceramic-specific maintenance spray, which replenishes the hydrophobic surface behavior without adding a competing layer.
No single coating is scratch proof, and any installer telling you that is overselling it. What the coating does is add a harder, more chemically resistant layer on top of your existing clear coat, which reduces the fine marring that comes from normal washing. Deeper scratches from keys, branches, or careless contact can still reach through the coating into the clear coat underneath.
