These terms apply when you book or receive a service from Guinea Pig Auto Detailing (“we,” “us,” or “our”), or use guineapigautodetailing.com. By booking a service or using the site, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, call us at (631) 859-7515 before you book.

Appointments

Every service is by appointment only, whether it is mobile or at our shop. Car detailing and hand car washing come to your driveway or office lot. Ceramic coating and window tinting are done only at our shop at 170 Garfield Ave, Islip Terrace, NY 11752, because both need a controlled, dust free space. A booking request is not confirmed until we confirm it with you by text, call or email. If the time you ask for is no longer available, we will offer the closest open time.

Prices and payment

Prices shown online are for a coupe or sedan unless stated. SUVs, trucks and other larger vehicles add a flat amount, and heavily soiled vehicles may need more time or an added charge. We confirm your exact price with you before we start work. No payment is due when you book. You pay after the work is finished. We accept the payment methods we tell you about when we confirm your appointment.

Access for mobile appointments

For mobile service we need reasonable access to park next to your vehicle with room to work, and permission to work at the location. We bring our own water and power. Please remove valuables and personal items from the vehicle beforehand. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.

Rescheduling and cancelling

Plans change. Please call or text us as early as you can if you need to reschedule or cancel so we can offer the time to someone else. If weather makes safe or proper work impossible, for example steady rain during a mobile appointment, we may ask to move your visit to another time.

Vehicle condition and results

We will point out existing scratches, stains, damage or other trouble spots during our walk around before we begin. Detailing improves the look and cleanliness of a vehicle, but some stains, odors, scratches, oxidation and damage cannot be fully removed, and results depend on the vehicle’s condition. We will tell you if we expect a limit before we start.

If something is not right

We want you to be happy with the work. Please do the final walk around with us, and tell us before we leave if anything looks wrong. We will make it right. If you notice a problem later, contact us as soon as you can and we will take a look.

Ceramic coatings and window tint

Ceramic coatings and window tint have curing and care requirements, such as keeping the vehicle dry and not washing it for a period after coating, or not rolling down freshly tinted windows for a few days. We will explain these when you book and at pickup. Any warranty on a specific coating or film is described when we quote the work, and it does not cover damage caused by neglect, accidents, abrasive washing or improper care. Window tint is installed to New York State legal limits.

Gift cards

Gift cards are subject to the terms shown when they are purchased. Contact us with any questions about a gift card.

Website use

You agree to use this site lawfully and not to interfere with it, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or submit false or automated requests. We may change or remove parts of the site at any time. Content on this site, including our name, logo, photos and text, belongs to us or is used with permission, and may not be copied for commercial use without our written permission.

Limits on our responsibility

We take care with every vehicle. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under New York law that cannot be limited by agreement.

How we handle your information, including texts, is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
